Our Story
The Day Our Lives Changed
The memory of the day my father suffered a cardiac arrest from a widowmaker, at 44 years old, will always be with me.
I established “RIPPIN’ FOR A CURE,” an organization with the mission of increasing awareness of heart disease, which currently stands as the number one cause of death for both men and women in America. Through our efforts, we aim to raise awareness within both the racing community and the wider community around us, and make a positive difference in the lives of those affected by this disease.
Though we were fortunate to save my dad’s life, the experience changed our family forever. Since then, I have been driven to make a difference, and that’s where RIPPIN’ FOR A CURE comes in.

About Laci Ferno
I’m Laci Ferno, a 21-year-old professional racecar driver from Mooresville, NC. Racing isn’t a hobby for me—it’s my life. I’ve worked my way through multiple divisions, learning the craft, taking my lumps, and getting faster every season.
Today, I’m building a career on dedication, grit, and clean speed—and using my platform of 30,000+ social followers to champion Rippin for a Cure.
If my journey helps one more kid—or one more young woman—believe they belong in this sport, it’s worth every lap.
